Clear The Clutter

The world is filled with shiny things,

With endless wants that life can bring.

Our ego whispers, "Reach for more,"

Another shelf, another store.

We fill our homes from wall to wall,

With keepsakes, gadgets, big and small.

Some hold memories that we adore,

While others sit unused for sure.

Yet letting go can feel so tough,

We tell ourselves, "It's useful stuff."

We bought it once with plans in mind,

So parting feels a little unkind.

But every item has a chance,

To help someone with less advance.

A coat, a book, a chair, a toy,

Could bring another person joy.

So clear the clutter, free some space,

And live life at a gentler pace.

For happiness is often found,

In simple things that still abound.
