Garden of Peace
I have so much to do and to say,
Endless tasks that fill each day.
I rush through hours, I race, I fly,
Too busy even to ask for reasons why.
Morning fades to noon, then night,
Time slips past without a fight.
I check things off, yet still they grow,
A rising tide that never slow.
The lists, the plans, the dates I chase,
Crowd my thoughts and steal my space.
They pull me forward, set my pace,
As if my worth’s a timed-out race.
But doing more is not to live,
There’s something deeper life can give.
A breath, a pause, a quiet mind,
The garden of peace we rarely find.
For when we stop and truly see,
The world regains its clarity.
In stillness, gentle truths attends,
Patience and gratitude are our friends.
Our bodies, minds, our spirits too,
Need rest as much as work we do.
So walk more slowly, take it in,
Allow a calmer life to begin.
