Kindness
A bird can soar on steady wings,
A tree grows tall through storms and springs.
A child may struggle all alone,
Till hardened hearts are overgrown.
If all we do is serve ourselves,
Our joy collects on empty shelves.
To see, to hear, to choose what’s kind,
Costs nothing when we’ve made the time.
Together we can stir the sea,
Lift the tides for all to be.
For nothing blooms without love’s light,
Kindness can turn the dark to bright.
