A Kinder Self
In the rush of light and day,
my mind ignore, my body frays.
I plan, I strive and never stop,
forsaken peace, to get on top.
Heavy chest with aches and pains,
whispers soft release the chains.
For tender care with love and grace,
a kinder self in slower pace.
So now I listen to its words,
I pause, I rest, I watch the birds.
In nature I find my quiet song,
loving stillness, I belong.
