Habits

We can slip so easily into our routines; morning coffee, same streets, familiar thoughts that starts to blur our lives around  the edges. Our habit can becomes our second skin, comforting but dulling, like watching the world through a fogged glass. We forget the vividness of our first  experiences, the way rain once felt like a blessing or how silence once echoed with meaning. In chasing productivity over presence, we have lost touch with the part of us that can still sees with open eyes. If we can only pause every now and then; we might just feel that first nature stir again, reminding us that we were meant not just to mundanely function and pass through the world, but to live consciously through the wonder of each passing moment.
