Our Breath
We often take our breath for granted,
A quiet gift, forever planted.
It keeps us here, it gives us life,
A steady friend through joy and strife.
It calms our minds when days run fast,
Brings inner peace that's built to last.
Yet we're too busy to be aware,
Caught in the noise that's everywhere.
We chase the clock, we rush ahead,
With endless thoughts inside our heads.
But every breath, both deep and small,
Has carried us through life and all.
So don't wait for your final day,
To thank the breath that lights your way.
The silent rhythm, kind and true,
That beats within and carries you.
